FolderIcons App Reviews

I just bought this App. The final stage in getting started is to "Paste as new folder name in Springboard". Does anyone know how to do this?!

First pick your icon, then name it & tap copy. Go to the Folder, the icon is for & hold it till it wiggles. Tap the folder & delete name of the folder. Hold your finger over the folder name bar till "Select / Select All / Plate" pop up. Tap plate, your icon & name should fill the name bar. push your home button & your done. For SpringBoard it just means Home Screen.

Doesnt work

Dont know why others are complaining ... Pretty intuitive and simple.

Doesnt change the appearance of the folder at all. Instead, it puts an icon in before the folder heading. You can accomplish the same by simply cutting and pasting your own photo there. You still have to do that with this app! The icon selection is not very relevant either. Fail.

I think you should put more icons, i bought it by mistake but its pretty dam good.. Useful!

These are more Emoji based icons than ones you would label on a folder, also far too many duplicates that are just a different shade of color. Though it is neat to add some icons to app labels it isnt that exciting with this current set of icons. Perhaps more system based icons. Chat bubbles, more phone icons, more game icons, mail icons, etc. When previewing a folder, it truncates to "..." one character too soon.

That other review is right....we have the same things for free,but I figured out how to do it after I bought this....oh well

My phone isnt jail broken so I cant even use this.. Misleading.

This app is easy and has more icons than I could ever use. For those people that are "icon" oriented - it really helps. My only comment would be that "Springboard" is a term most iPhone users are not familiar with and you might want to re-do your instructions to something like "rename the folder as usual and Paste". Its also very helpful when you have a light colored background and cant see the White writing - you can get a dark icon and have all the possibilities covered. Good job!

I dont understand how to create a new folder. wat the heck is a springboard?

Does anybody in apple check these phony application? No instruction? No manual!? What is it? A waste of my dollar?

Should have read the reviews first, good thing a friend showed me an easier way to do the same thing!!!!!

What a scam! Wish I didnt buy it!

It would be 5 stars, but the directions are completely -5 star stat. Fix the direction and the app well be 5 stars.

Umm, what in the world is Springboard?!? I spent 99 cents on something I cant use! Ill definitely give this  if you can tell me what Springboard means. UPDATE Now that I know, its better, even if theres a free way.

I had to do a little research online on how to make it work because it was confusing. I found instructions step by step on appbank.us. and now my iPhone is organized and I actually love this app.

To those that do not know how to use. First you have to have a folder already created. Open the foldericon app and tap the icon which is in the middle to the far left on the app home page to open the lists of icons then select the one you like by a tap on it. Once selected it goes back to the app home screen with the selected icon, next to the icon is a box where you type the name of the folder you want the icon to represent. Next to that box is a copy button, tap that, now it is in the copy and paste springboard. Go to the folder you wish to change and touch and hold it until all apps and folders start wiggling. Next, tap the folder which opens it then tap the x which deletes the folder original name, then touch and hold the empty box until the word paste comes up from the springboard, then tap paste and now box should have your folder new name and icon. Hit the iPhone home button to stop the wiggling and thats it. Hope this helps someone. To the developer: Need new and more icons.

Impossible to figure out. A waste of time and money. Too bad there is not a zero stars rating so I had to give it one.
